An orange flavour liqueur often known by it's brand name Cointreau or referred to simply as Orange Curaçao or Triple Sec

History

The origin of this liqueur is disputed with both the Combier Distillery and Cointreau claiming to have invented it in the mid 19th century.

Usage

One of the most popular liqueurs used in cocktails it combines well with a wide range of clear and brown spirits.  It adds a significant amount of sweetness and is often combined with citrus juice to balance that out.
